marc alan took the controls last night for his eponymous show, delivering a session that steadily built from a smooth, undeniable groove into something altogether more expansive. Kicking off with the confident bounce of Chemars' "Everything I Want" and Cas's "Southside," the initial moments laid down a foundation of precise, unfussy house. The energy notched up a few degrees with Emanuel Satie & Maga's "I Want It" and Erik Bo's "Euphoria," tracks that know their way around a peak-time moment without resorting to cheap tricks. It was all about consistent motion, a subtle push forward rather than jarring shifts.

As the set progressed, marc alan wove in layers of deeper textures. The Homero Espinosa Extended Tough Mix of Sebb Junior's "A Million Ways" offered a masterclass in adding soulful depth to classic forms, a real moment of considered joy that speaks to Espinosa's reputation for warm, soulful, and story-driven deep house. Friend Within's "No Matter (TR860)" provided a familiar, driving pulse before the unexpected delight of Jill Scott and Terry Hunter's "Right Here Right Now - Remix" injected a dose of pure, unadulterated vocal house. Darius Syrossian's remix of Louden's "Hollup" later in the set brought that signature robust, groove-focused approach, showing exactly why he’s a purveyor of unadulterated house and techno. The latter half of the session delved further into intricate rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes, moving through the soulful throb of Soulmekanikz and Hannah Khemoh's "The Rain (Deepah Mix)" to the more abstract, yet still deeply percussive, world of Dub Taylor's "Concentration." It was a journey marked by careful curation, proving that real radio, even in 2026, still holds its power.
