GAVIN PETERS

Gavin Peters is a London based DJ who has become well known and established firmly on the House music scene over the last 10 years. With a style that crosses through deep, soulful house and now into tech, minimal house – Gavin takes his inspiration and influence growing up watching DJ’s such as Louie Vega and listening to music from the producers like Kerri Chandler, Masters at Work, Blaze, Phil Asher (Restless Soul), Nathan Haines, Quentin Harris, Spen, Mood 2 Swing, Joey Negro, Bugz in da Attic, Franck Roger, Fanatix, Osunlade and Reel People.

His style and ability have seen him behind the decks at many of the UK’s leading events and clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Love Puppy, Turnmills, Neighbourhood, Plan B, Sick on the Dancefloor, The Cross, Bagleys, AKA, Camden Palace, O2 Arena, The Key, House + Terrace, Club Supreme, SE1 club + many more. He has also travelled further a field as a DJ to places like Croatia with Aaron Ross, Miami for the Winter Music Conference parties, Ibiza for the Soul-Heaven pre- party, Spain and Greece.

Gavin started his journey playing in many bars and clubs in and around London. After 2 years of playing for various known promotions at venues such as Yacht Club, Aquarium, Glasshouse and more, Gavin secured a residency at Sound Stage in Kings Cross where he created the event Funky Fridays. Over this long-standing residency Gavin bought in some of the hottest DJ’s the UK had to offer such as the legendary Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson, Neil Pierce, Bobby + Steve, Aaron Ross, Chrissy T, Danny Foster, Rap Saunders, Grant Richards, Tony Nicholls, Funkie P, James Jackson to name a few. After 2 years at Sound Stage Gavin took his DJ skills and his popular event to a new venue – the formerly known Club Supreme – where he launched the now infamous after-party named After Hours. Continuing to bring his style of house music to the crowds, this party again featured some of the big name guests who previously joined Gavin at Sound Stage.

After another 2 years at this residency, Gavin continued to play at all the major parties and venues in London – becoming a consistent name and guest DJ on the House scene in the UK.

Then in 2007 Gavin teamed up with good pal and fellow London DJ – Sy Sez – and formed the production outfit AphroDisiax – who are now beginning to create great interest with their productions and remixes! In their short time working together the pair have already had releases and signings to labels such as Soul Heaven, NY Soul, More About Music + NU Faze. And have worked and collaborated with artists such as Kaidi Tatham from Bugz in da Attic, Neil Pierce of the Fanatix, Arise, Mark Force, Phil Asher + New Yorks DJ Romain to name a few.
