SEPHIE

THURSDAY 22:00 – MIDNIGHT

Brought up on a healthy diet of disco, soul and jazz, what Sephie loves playing is proper vocal and deep House, as well as rare groove and disco. Her Djaying journey started in the 90s when she brought her first set of decks. When Sephie started out there were only a handful of other female DJs in the house scene – Smokin Jo, DJ Paulette and Nancy Noise, now a few decades on that metric has changed. massively. Not one to be cowed by the pressure of digitisation she sticks firmly to her roots and is a pure vinylist.

Inspired by her regular Friday night outings to Strictly Rhythm at the Soundshaft Sephie was enveloped and inspired by the sounds of New York DJs Louis Vega, Danny Tenaglia and Roger Sanchez, as well as home grown talent such as CJ Mackintosh, Paul Trouble Anderson and Kid Batchelor. She also loves garage and was a regular on the dance floor at the Gass Club and Twice as Nice.
